From just a handful of DJs in Bucharest we can honestly call vinyl purists, only a few of them materialised their passion for house music vibes into a huge record collection covering various forms of fine ass music: from hip hop, funk & soul to Detroit techno, Chicago house or simply deep house. And this brings us to our good friend Batz, active on Bucharest’s underground electronic scene for quite a few years, solo or alongside his fellow Borac under the RotoPerCuTor disguise. You’ve probably been exposed to Batz’ selection as he shared the mixing decks with the likes of Jazzanova, Bonobo, Dj Cam, Herbaliser, John Talabot, Modeselektor, Terrence Parker, Jeremy Underground Paris.

We asked Batz to introduce us to the New York’s house music vibes from the 90’s so he came up with 5 gems we can easily label as evergreens.

Jovonn – Pianos Of Gold

B-Classic – Remember (E-Smoove Underground)

Ronald Burrell – Did This 4 Da Shelter

Robert Owens – Visions (M*K Mix)
