A few months ago, it was Dragutesku’s mission to open up the vinyl only Feeder Sound series, setting up some pretty high expectations.

Piktor, a Romanian producer based in Austria and affiliated to the Subtil family, took it further with Similar Feelings, a three tracker focused solely on deploying tsunami waves of energy on any pretentious dance floor. Stepping away from the minimalistic sound framework you would expect from somebody coming from Romania, Piktor proposes a plethora of rich textures. From Similar Feelings, the opener that reminded us of Hale Bop, the electro anthem that still haunts us after more than 15 years, all the way to The Night Before, cut and filtered to its bare essentials. As for Side B, The Gift That Keeps On Giving throwed us back to the progressive house golden age, uplifting as much as needed for the contemporary dance floors.
