Born out of Montreal’s fertile underground, Flabbergast is the creative effort of Guillaume Coutu Dumont and Vincent Lemieux. Impossible to be subscribed under one specific genre, with roots spreading across electronic music, jazz or hip hop, the Flabbergast project is perfectly capturing the eclectic diversity of Montreal’s musical scene. And maybe the best way to grasp a bit of Guillaume and Vincent’s creative genius is to give their first LP a listen: a space travel filled with breakbeat patterns, jazz elements, ambient soundscapes with Jean Michel Jarre references and glitchy IDM textures.
