For the love of house music. A simple motto, easy to reminder, so difficult to follow. Yet, once in a while, you bump into this type of record selectors, fully commited to the vibe that electronic music brings. No matter the label, the subgenre or the hour of the day, Alexincase has always delivered the perfect groove. Now part of the extended VRTW family, Alexincase is building his musical universe around his insatiable passion for the vinyl format. So it was about time to see what lies behind the dance floor personality with a short interview / track selection about his private record collection.

In the meantime, you can enjoy his vinyl love letter to Giegling, one of his favourite record labels: a mix built only with Giegling releases, perfect for the cold season ;)

A second hand dig I’m most proud of

Quincy Jones – Roots (The Saga Of An American Family) [1977]

The record I’d love to see it repressed

Traumprinz – Say Or Do [Traumprinz 03]

The label I’d buy all their releases without even listening to them

Giegling

The record artwork that blows my mind every time I look at it

Khidja – Never Seen The Remixes [EES019]

The record that triggers childhood memories

Enigma – Sadeness

The record shop I would spend my whole savings in

A1 Record Shop [N.Y.] and, of course, Misbits 🙂

The record that never leaves my DJ bag

Incogdo / Kenny Larkin – Untitled [BLM 666] – found it at a local record fair held at a local record shop, on a super hot summer day / but not as hot as the record itself, not to mention the artwork 🙂

Last record I checked its price on discogs

Various – 2018 [glg 2018]

Last record I bought for my home listening pleasure

DeepChord – hr-01 [hr-01]

The record closest to my heart from my entire collection

Pink Floyd – The Dark Side Of The Moon

Moodymann – Forevernevermore [PF095]
