Part of the underground electronic movement since the 90s’, Narcis is that type of a low profile DJ & producer that once you get him started to talk about his record collection you’ll receive an amazing musical journey through all kinds of timeless genres and forgotten styles, ranging from obscure electronica to jazz, classical stuff and beyond. And we manage to unveil just a tiny bit of his musical personality through this small interview ;) It came out as one of the most extensive record selection we had until now, sliding from timeless records that have shaped the electronic music world to totally underrated & hard to find EPs.
While keeping himself under the radar, Narcis signed a few amazing records, including a massive collaboration with Funk E under the Naf Naf moniker
A second hand dig I’m most proud of
Ministry of F.E.A.R. – E.P. With No Name
The record I’d love to see it repressed
One record from my early DJ career that I still play today
The record artwork that blows my mind every time I look at it:
seekers – Flirting With Melancholy LP
The record that triggers childhood memories
One record that sounded way ahead of its time when it was released
A now defunct record label from which you luckily own a few records
The record shop I would spend my whole savings in
The closest is Misbits, but …. Discogs ! :)
The record that never leaves my DJ bag
One record that’s so good, you even bought a copy to keep it in mint condition
Last record I checked its price on discogs
Last record I bought for my home listening pleasure
Not the most recent one bought, but I am enjoying it these days: Underground Evolution – Primordial Passages
The record closest to my heart from my entire collection
After the last cleaning, it’s hard to say … love them all, but to have a name
